The 2023 Mother’s Day 5K took place on May 14, 2023 and featured a scenic route that snaked through Denver’s iconic urban park. All female competitors were greeted with a rose at the finish line to celebrate Mother’s Day.
The annual event, sponsored by Colorado Race Timing, “is aimed at runners and walkers of all abilities and provided the opportunity to spend quality time with the special mom in your life.” A breakfast of pancakes and sausages with orange juice was provided by Flippin’ Flapjacks for all registered participants. According to race organizer Simon Escorcia, a total of 650 runners registered for the event, of which about 70% were women.
