Police on Thursday were investigating a late-night disturbance at an apartment complex in southeastern Denver near the Cherry Creek Reservoir that led to the shooting of five people.
The victims were four men and a woman. Three of those shots were taken to hospital in ambulances and two went on their own after the shooting shortly before 10 p.m. Wednesday at 9600 E. Girard Place, Denver police officials said in a post on Twitter.
A man is in critical condition, police said.
“Circumstances and suspicious information are being investigated,” the police said. “It is possible that the suspect(s) are among the injured.”
It was unclear what prompted the shooting.
