Rain falls in the Cameron Peak fire area Thursday afternoon, where a flash flood warning has been posted until 4:15 p.m.
Showers and thunderstorms are expected along the northern Front Range and foothills, and the bushfire-ravaged Cameron Peak area has a high chance of flash flooding this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. Areas affected include the Retreat, Crystal Mountain, and Storm Mountain.
The sky is mostly cloudy and there is a 70% chance of precipitation in the area. Heavy rain hit the area around 1 p.m., with 0.5 inches of rain falling in the space of 30 minutes.
