Too little or poor sleep has been linked to poor health outcomes

Consistently going to bed and waking up at different times can affect our circadian rhythm, causing our body’s various physiological processes to get out of sync and increasing the risk of dying within a certain amount of time. However, pre-existing medical conditions can also affect sleep. These inconsistent sleep habits may therefore correlate with, rather than cause, an increased risk of death over a period of time.
