One person was killed in a police shooting near 16th and Platte streets on Monday afternoon, according to the Denver Police Department.
Officers were responding to the area on a weapons-related call, Denver police posted on X at 4:16 p.m. Police initially reported the person was injured, and later confirmed they were pronounced dead in a post on X at 4:35 p.m.
