Title race scenarios
If Arsenal lose to Nottingham Forest: Manchester City will seal the title before taking the field against Chelsea. In any case, with a draw or a win for the Gunners, the race will go into Sunday.
If City beat Chelsea: The title is theirs. With 88 points that will be a place where Arsenal can’t get them to the table and get the added luxury of winning the title in their home stadium. A draw would be enough if Arsenal draw Forest, while a loss will not be enough to clinch the title without Arsenal’s help.
If City lose to Chelsea: Assuming Arsenal win their game, in this scenario all eyes will be on the City vs. Brighton. City could still clinch the title with a win, but if Arsenal close the gap to one point ahead of that game, a draw won’t be enough. Therefore, the best option for City is to maintain their unbeaten run by beating Chelsea to clinch the title.
