A 15-year-old boy pleaded guilty Monday to first-degree murder in connection with a deadly fire in October at an apartment complex in Lakewood.
The teen, whom The Post is not naming because he is a minor, also pleaded guilty in Jefferson County court to charges including first-degree arson.
The first-degree prosecutor charged the teen and a 12-year-old in November with first-degree murder and 39 other charges in connection with the Oct. 31 fire.
The fire killed 31-year-old Kathleen Payton and her 10-year-old daughter Jazmine Payton-Aguayo and displaced all 32 units in the complex.
The 12-year-old defendant did not make a plea at Monday’s hearing, Fox 31 reported.
The 15-year-old will be sentenced on September 15.
