Wintour’s event will be co-hosted and will take place at the home of Lauren Santo Domingo, co-founder of online fashion retailer Moda Operandi, according to a Democratic National Committee memo. Donors can also purchase “host” tier tickets for $50,000 or “seat” tier tickets for $100,000 for the event.
On May 24, second gentleman Doug Emhoff will be a guest at a fundraiser at fashion designer Kay Unger and her partner David Rubin. Dinner will be a more intimate event limited to 20 people. The suggested ticket price is $10,000.
The mansion in Santo Domingo’s Gramercy Park, who is also the artistic director of the Tiffany & Co. home collection, has reportedly appreciated for $18.5 million.
Unger’s house is featured in O, The Oprah Magazine. A 2007 description of the 4,300 square feet Soho loft describes a “polished fireplace with frescoes that extends up to the 15-foot ceiling” and “a walk-in pantry with crockery.”
