Chairman of the House Oversight Committee Rep. James Comer (R-KY) claimed to have a Biden corruption informant, but he lost the informant as a set of car keys and now can’t find him.
Video:
Comer was asked about the Biden corruption informant on Fox and said, “Unfortunately, we are unable to track down the informant. We hope the informant is still here. The whistleblower knows the informant, the whistleblower is very credible. And all we’re asking the FBI regarding the Form 1023 is what have you done to investigate this allegation? And they sent us a very patronizing letter back saying trust us and don’t worry about it.”
Rep. Comer immediately tries to change the subject, not wanting to talk about how he and his staff lost the alleged informant who is the backbone of their claim that President Biden is involved in a pay-to-play scandal.
Jessica Collins, director of communications for the Oversight Committee, claimed that Comer was talking about another whistleblower, which sounds unlikely considering he discussed his Biden bribery claims: “What he was referring to is another whistleblower. Many key witnesses to the Biden family’s influence plans are either in court, facing jail, or missing,” Collins said of Comer. “The whistleblower who has come forward about the FBI file alleging that then-Vice President Joe Biden was involved in a bribery scheme involving a foreigner is not missing.”
Every time the chairman of the House Oversight Committee is asked for evidence to back up his claims, he comes up with a new excuse. It’s one thing for Comer to be involved in a deeply partisan investigation fueled by conspiracy theories. It’s another thing to see Comer seemingly abusing the supervisory powers of his position by making things up.
James Comer and the House Republican majority are not serious people.
Comer embarrassed himself at a press conference last week by not providing any evidence to support his claims. The Kentucky Congressman has found a new one to embarrass himself and the Republican Party by claiming he lost his informant.
