An ex-counselor who went on a date with the accused Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuerman said the 59-year-old architect “got out” while talking about true crime and reportedly revealed details of a murder that was not widely reported, while suggesting there was more than one killer, RadarOnline.com has learned.
Nicole Messing, 34, allegedly went to dinner with Heuermann at a seafood restaurant in Port Jefferson, Long Island, between 2014 and 2016 after meeting him on an escort site. During their meal, she said their conversation soon turned to the Gilgo Beach killer.
“He brought up true crime… And he said, ‘You know about the Gilgo Beach killer’ and I was like, ‘Of course everyone on Long Island does, we’re all following that case’.. and he started saying things that led me to believe it wasn’t just him in the first place – there were other people involvedhowever he takes the blame for all of them and I think he will because I think he will probably be pulled out of that deal,” she recalled on TikTok.
As RadarOnline.com reported, Heuermann was arrested and charged with three counts of first-degree murder and second-degree murder in connection with the murder of Barthelemy, 24, Megan Waterman22, and Amber Costello, 27, last week. He is also the prime suspect in the murder of Maureen Brainard-Barnes25.
All four women are known as the Gilgo Four and were sex workers about the same age whose bodies were found wrapped in burlap and found within a quarter mile of each other off Gilgo Beach on Long Island in late 2010.
“He was very detailed and it didn’t look like someone who was just a real crime buff. It looked like someone who, as they talked about it, relived it in their head,” explains Brass. “Like he seemed excited like it piqued his interest. He sat up, he relaxed his body, he seemed really excited to talk about it.”
She also claimed that he had told her about another murder she had not yet heard of.
“And what got me was he mentioned a body that hadn’t been announced on the news yet, it wasn’t in the paper, I never, nothing – and I would have known. So that really freaked me out,” she claimed.
Brass said the evening ended with Heuermann inviting her to his home and becoming agitated when she declined.
“At the end he said, ‘Do you want to go back to my house?’ And I was like, “I don’t know, I should follow you in my car,” and he was like, “No, no, get in the car with me, leave your car here… it will come.” all right, just come with me.'”
Speak against Good morning AmericaBrass revealed that his excitement about the Gilgo Beach murders made her “feel really, really bad”.
“My gut told me to get away from him,” she recalls.
Brass also told the New York Post“When he talked about [the murders]it was almost like he visualized it in his head and started what he said.
The Suffolk County District Attorney revealed that mobile evidence, DNA and surveillance linked Heuermann to the three murders. One thrown away pizza crust matched positively with DNA left on Aquarius’s body. Heuermann’s wife’s hair was found with the bodies of three women, and one of his hair was also found on one of the victim’s remains.
Prosecutors also said Heuermann conducted incriminating Internet searches, including, “Why couldn’t the police trace the Long Island serial killer’s calls” and “Why wasn’t the Long Island serial killer caught.” He had searched disturbing child pornography and explicit rape videos.
So is law enforcement to research if Heuermann is responsible for at least six other victims whose remains were found in April 2011 in the same area.
