Funded by Soros St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner is resigning from office today, Tuesday, the office of Missouri Governor Mike Parson confirmed.
The governor’s office announced Tuesday morning that they had received an email from Gardner announcing that she would be leaving her office later in the day. KSDK reported.
According to KMOV, Wesley Bell may be taking over in the meantime.
“The Circuit Attorney has been working with St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Wesley Bell and his office to ensure there is a comprehensive transition plan in place to address cases that prioritize public safety,” the press release said.
Adding: “Kimberly M. Gardner will terminate her service as the City of St. Louis Circuit Attorney effective immediately. Mrs. Gardner is committed to serving the people of the City of St. Louis and has made every effort to ensure a smooth transition. Further questions regarding pending cases may be directed to the St. Louis County Attorney.”
