Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton revealed that FBI agents knocked on his door and served him a federal grand jury subpoena.
Fitton said he was recovering from “major skin cancer surgery” on his couch at home when two FBI agents knocked on his door.
“There are two FBI agents at the door with a subpoena for me to testify before the grand jury, presumably on this Mar-a-Lago matter,” Fitton told Fox News host Jesse Watters Thursday night.
Tom Fitton said he was called before the grand jury, which he said was “highly unusual”.
“And just before I go to the grand jury the day before, they said ‘oh by the way, we also want to ask you about that January 6 stuff,'” Fitton said.
Three prosecutors all “tagged” Tom Fitton.
Fitton described his experience: “It was a four-hour MSNBC-style battle session where they argued with me about tweets and voters and the Clinton sock dresser and what I had for lunch at the White House.”
No actual crimes were presented to the grand jury, Fitton told Jesse Watters.
Fitton said he was targeted by the federal government for defending Trump for bringing presidential data to Mar-a-Lago.
“They wanted to know what I said to Trump over lunch and what his reaction was,” Fitton said.
Fitton continued, “This is an abuse of power! A fishing expedition and it was as political as anything you’d see at a DNC convention!
