Early in his tenure on the Supreme Court, Thomas reported several personal gifts, such as flights in private jets, cigars, and clothing. However, after The Times made this information public in 2004, Thomas stopped disclosing certain gifts and benefits received.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Thomas has a close relationship with Crow, who has an extensive collection of Nazi memorabilia and Hitler paintings.
Crow has given the judge private jet and yacht trips worth tens of thousands of dollars, and he even bought the house where Thomas’ mother lived. In addition, Crow paid tuition for Thomas’ cousin, whom he and his wife raised.
Thomas defended his lack of disclosures by claiming he had been advised by “colleagues and others in the judiciary” that he should not report “personal hospitality” from friends.
