The Denver Art Museum’s “Desert Rider: Dreaming in Motion” exhibit opened July 9 with a display of lowrider cars at the “Show And Shine” auto show along East 13th Avenue and other activities outside the museum.
The show coincided with ¡Viva! Denver streets where people could bike or walk on a pedestrianized Broadway to get to the museum. The show explores the lowrider and skateboarding culture in Denver and the American Southwest.
The show kicked off on July 9 with the all-day free event featuring art, parties at the museum, booths, music and cultural dances. The show can be seen until September 24.
