The lawsuit alleged that the Normans had failed to fulfill their “duty to ensure her safety, well-being and sobriety” from Doe, resulting in “bodily injury and consequent pain and suffering”. Florida law prohibits the public or private consumption of alcohol under the age of 21.
Although the lawsuit showed that it had been assigned to a judge in West Palm Beach, Norman and his wife had not served the complaint.
“This matter has been fully investigated and closed,” the spokesman said Stuart Grossman, the couple’s lawyer. “The allegations in this suit are false. We had no idea it was filed. We will take appropriate action against the attorneys and parties involved.”
