After launching its second-ever smartwatch at MWC earlier this year, OnePlus is adding to its wearable portfolio with a Nordic Blue Edition of the Watch 2 in the UK and Europe.
Setting sail today in Helsinki, this lifestyle watch boasts a nautical-esque royal blue and white design, with a split colour dial that takes inspiration from classic marine GMT chronometers. The strap seen on the OnePlus Watch 2 has also been upgraded to a fluororubber and leather combination for a more premium feel.
The Watch 2 Nordic Blue Edition retains the same 1.43-inch display as the standard smartwatch. Whilst this large face is impressive, it may not be best suited for users with smaller wrists.
I’ll be able to learn more when I go (all) hands-on (deck) with the device in the coming days in Finland. It will compete with the best smartwatches on the market.
OnePlus has also brought back its dual-chipset design, meaning that users can once again take advantage of the impressive 100-hour battery life that eclipses rivals such as the Pixel Watch 2 and the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic.
However, American OnePlus fans will miss out on this launch as the Watch 2 Nordic Blue Edition is exclusive to European markets.
Bingo Liu, CEO of OnePlus Europe, said the new smartwatch “…underscores the importance of the European region and our commitment of bringing locally relevant products.”
The latter part of the quote could imply that OnePlus is working on other variants of the Watch 2 for different countries, but this is purely speculative.
The OnePlus Watch 2 Nordic Blue Edition is available to pre-order now from OnePlus and costs £329/€379, which is just slightly more expensive than the vanilla Watch 2. It will go on general sale on 7 May.
Pre-order discounts are available at the time of writing but only in Europe so UK buyers miss out on these:
- Pre-Order First 48 Hours (23-25 April): Subscribe to save up to €80 and get Free Buds 3
- Pre-Order (29 April – 3 May): Save €30 and get Free Buds 3
- Bundle offer: Buy with OnePlus 12 and get 20% off

Debuting alongside the new smartwatch in the UK and Europe is the OnePlus Pad Go, another tablet from the brand that is already on sale in India.
Again, this is not currently launching in America, and OnePlus could neither confirm nor deny if it will come to this market. Hopefully, we’ll learn more in the coming months. In the meantime, stay tuned to Tech Advisor for more exclusive features on the Watch 2 Nordic Blue Edition.
