Did you know that the holidays start now? That’s right – retailers like to get you into a shopping frenzy, so they use Labor Day sales to get the mood right. In the world of fashion and beauty, the sales are BIG this weekend, with discounts of up to 75%.
So you’re not going crazy, take a moment to list the clothes, beauty products and Christmas gifts you need. Then dive into these top Labor Day fashion and beauty sales to see how much you could save.
Top sales on Labor Day
1. Gorge
Shop Gap for casual wear and basics. I love their jeans and button-up shirts, which are on sale now for $47 and $39, respectively. Those aren’t the ultra-budget prices you’ll find at fast fashion retailers, but the merchandise should last longer.
Here are the sale details: Save 40% on all regular priced jeans, sweaters, sportswear and t-shirts, plus an additional 10% off. Sale styles are marked down by an additional 50%. Check out the Gap sale here and use the code TREAT through September 5.
2. Chico is off the rack
Chico’s and its Chico’s off the Rack outlet store have done much to shake off the “old lady” image of the past. You still won’t find a sassy bodycon at this store, but you can find pretty cashmere sweaters, midi dresses, and cute patterned ankle pants.
This weekend save 30% sitewide at Chico’s off the Rack for great deals on tops, pants, jeans and dresses. My choice is the faux suede all over jacket for $63.
3. White House Black Market
WHBM, Chico’s sister store, has a younger, but still tasteful vibe. I love their lineup, but I don’t do a whole lot of shopping at WHMB – mainly because the normal prices are a bit outside my comfort zone. Oh, but when Labor Day ushers in a 50% savings… it’s the time to buy.
Most sale items are spring and summer items, but who cares? The styles are classic enough that you can easily wear them next year if you live in a four-season climate.
Check out WBHM’s Labor Day sale here.
4. Fashion cloth
Modcloth is, or should be, your go-to place to shop cute midi dresses and a-line skirts. The vintage-inspired retailer certainly has a quirky collection, but it could be just what you need to show off your personal style.
For Labor Day, full-price garments are discounted by 30% and sale items by 40%. Use code YAY30 now through September 5. Shop all Labor Day sale items here.
5. Bloomingdale’s
Bloomie’s is another store that generally outshines budget fashionistas. But you can’t beat a Bloomingdale sale if you buy a discounted investment jacket or pants.
Look for garments that are an extra 30% off this weekend — put them in your cart to see the price drop. That sale ends on September 5. You can also find women’s denim discounted from 40% to 60% through September 9.
Shop Bloomingdale’s Labor Day Sale or the denim sale for women.
Budget Fashionista Tip: Get coupon codes now with Capital One shopping. Here’s how.
6.Michael Kors
Shop Michael Kors this weekend if you’re looking for a new purse or bag. The brand’s best-selling tote bag in pink has been marked down from $348 to a very friendly $59. There are many other styles selling in the low $100 range as well.
If you see something you like on the sale page, use code LDW25 for an extra 25% off. The sale runs until September 5.
7. Macy’s
It’s hard not to include Macy’s in a sales post. The department store is constantly giving out something. Sometimes I wonder how they make any money at all.
I like Macy’s for business casual items – things like blouses, shell tops, blazers and cardigans. These are outfit workhorse pieces that you can use to dress up an outfit as needed.
To save at Macy’s this Labor Day weekend, use code LABOR for an extra 20% — through September 5. Shop the sale items here.
8. J. C. Penney
If you can’t find the single items you need at Macy’s, try JC Penney. You’ll have to scroll past some uncomfortable Worthington brand pants, but that’s okay. Among those shapeless pants, you’ll find cute boyfriend jeans, versatile tank tops, and pretty blouses for $25 or less.
Check out the JC Penney Labor Day sale here. Use code HARDWORK for 20% off plus an additional 10% off. The sale ends on September 5.
9. Target
You gotta love a good Target sale. This weekend, the “Summer Send-off Sale” offers 30% off shoes, women’s dresses, select children’s clothing and more. You could buy a few things for yourself and buy a few holiday or birthday gifts at the same time.
Shop the Target sale now through September 5.
10. Talbots
Talbots, like Chico’s, is aimed at a more mature audience. I’m sure I fall into their target demographic, but some bits can look frumpy. I generally scroll right past the pants and shop Talbots for sweaters and blouses.
Still, Talbots makes this list because Labor Day clearance prices are as high as 70% off sale items. Regular priced styles are 25% off. For those discounts, I’m willing to scroll to find the right deal.
Shop Talbot’s Labor Day sale through September 5.
11. ATTIC
LOFT’s Labor Day sale is all about casual tops and patterned dresses. Many of the sale items are best worn with extra layers or next year when the sun is shining again.
As a budget-conscious lady, I expect you’ll enjoy shopping out of season, especially when you can save up to 75% on retail. The big discounts are on sale styles, but even regular priced merchandise is marked down by 30%.
Use code YAY and shop LOFT’s Labor Day sale through September 5.
12. Madewell
Madewell’s collection is super portable and crafted with durability in mind. The price and quality of the Madewell series place these pieces in the “investment buy” category. Fortunately, the styles are classic and tasteful enough to be usable for a long time.
This weekend, Madewell Sale Items will be discounted another 40% to 50%. Use the code LONGWEEKEND and shop until 6 September.
13. Levi’s
From skinnies to the classic 501, no one does denim better than Levi’s. And did you know that Levis.com also sells tops and sweaters – for $30 or $40 each? That’s right.
Prices are even lower this weekend. The entire collection on levis.com is discounted by 30% and children’s clothing is discounted by 40%. If ever there was a good way to fight back against clothing inflation, it’s shopping for the whole family at levis.com this weekend.
Shop the Levi’s Labor Day sale through September 6. Use code B2G2822.
14. ULTA Beauty
Now through September 17, ULTA Beauty is holding its 21 Days of Beauty Event – featuring daily deals with discounts of up to 50%. You also get free shipping when you spend $35 or more.
The beauty steals change daily, but to give you an idea… today Lancome mascara that normally costs $27 has been marked down to a drugstore price of $13.50. Until tomorrow you can save 50% on Clarins eye cream, Benefit Cosmetics eyebrow pencils and cult favorite Glamglow Supermud.
