The premiere of season 3 of the tumultuous yet brilliant Hulu series is slowly approaching. Unsurprisingly, information about the new episodes is starting to leak out. Recently, it was revealed that a certain pastry chef from Copenhagen will reappear in the show’s latest instalment.
The small-scale series about a run-down Chicago diner has made a name for itself in the last few years. The second season of The Bear won three Golden Globes and ten Emmy Awards and made rising global stars out of Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri, who lead a marvellous cast.
The thrilling season 2 finale had fans hoping that a third season of the wild story would be on the way. FX didn’t disappoint and officially green-lit the next instalment of The Bear.
Let’s find out what’s already known about the new episodes of the series.
When could The Bear season 3 release?
According to the latest information provided by Variety, The Bear is expected to return on Hulu and Disney+ in June 2024.
This potential release date for season 3 was revealed by FX chairman John Landgraf, who attended the network’s presentation at the Television Critics Association’s press tour.
If Landgraf’s words can be taken as confirmation, a June release date fits the pattern – The Bear season 1 premiered on 23 June 2022, and season 2 on 22 June 2023.
According to Landgraf’s announcement, all episodes of season 3 will be released on the same day.
What could the plot of The Bear season 3 be about?
The second season of the series ended on a bitter note. As is typical in The Bear, there can’t be a win without a loss.
On the opening day of the new restaurant, the venture’s success hung by a thread. Carmy, trapped in the fridge, once again teetered on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Luckily, Richie saved the situation, and ultimately, the team emerged victorious from their first battle.
Unfortunately, at the last moment, Carmy sabotaged his blooming relationship with Claire. During his meltdown behind the fridge door, the young chef insulted his grilfriend and broke up with her, deciding to give up on romantic relationships.
Although Carmy revealed himself to Claire in the worst light, their relationship may not be beyond recovery. In the third season, Carmy may finally emerge from the crisis and see the benefits of having a life outside of work.
In season 3, Sydney and Marcus will also have to deal with their personal lives, as they begin to fall for one other. One of the most exciting storylines will likely involve Richie, who seems to overcome his insecurities and get ready to take responsibility for the restaurant.
In the third season, the entire team will undoubtedly face a difficult battle for the survival of the newly established business. As you may recall, the group decided to open the restaurant in challenging economic conditions and have been grappling with the spectre of bankruptcy from the very beginning.
One thing is sure: The Bear season 3 will provide viewers with kitchen rows, family traumas, and the best food you can find in Chicago.
