McDaniel, who once spoke out about “irregularitieswith the 2020 election, revolved around concerns about inflation before turning to how Biden spends some of his time away from the White House.
“Go to the grocery store — I don’t know if Joe Biden went to the grocery store because he spent 40% of his presidency on vacation,” McDaniel said, citing numbers the RNC criticized the president for “reward themselves” earlier this year.
Wallace hit back at McDaniel about her comments when he cited his time to beat Ronald Reagan.
“No president is ever on vacation. The job travels with him,” Wallace stated before referring to one of Trump’s hobbies in which he participated hundreds of times as president.
“And, you know… if we want to play golf, I think Donald Trump beat him.”
According to a December 2020 JS analysis, Trump played golf on his properties at least 289 times during his presidency at a cost of $151.5 million.
McDaniel later asked Wallace if he thinks Biden should “skip a vacation” before the host returned to Trump lamenting his 2020 election loss.
“Let me ask you this, Chris. Don’t you think he should skip a vacation every once in a while and say, how am I going to straighten this ship? He is not. Maybe don’t go to the beach, Joe! Maybe…” McDaniel said.
“I think that would have been a much better response for Donald Trump than saying, ‘I won in 2020,'” Wallace replied.
